About BerthScanner
BerthScanner operates an online marketplace that enables boat owners and captains (“Boaters”) to search, compare, book and pay for berths offered by marinas (“Marinas”) across Europe. BerthScanner may also offer tools that enable Marinas to manage availability, pricing, berth occupancy, customers, check-in and check-out, amenities and bookings.
BerthScanner is a technology intermediary. The legal contract for any berth, mooring, amenity or service booked through the Service is between you and the Marina. Unless expressly stated, we do not own, control, manage, inspect or operate any marina or berth listed on the Service.

Bookings and confirmations
Placing a booking
When you submit a booking request through the Service, you make a binding offer to the Marina to enter into a mooring contract on the terms shown at checkout, including the rate, dates, selected amenities and any Marina-specific conditions displayed.
Confirmation
Your booking is confirmed only when you receive an electronic confirmation (email or in-app notification) from BerthScanner on behalf of the Marina. Pending bookings may be declined, modified or cancelled if availability cannot be met or if the information provided is inaccurate.
Accuracy of information
You must provide accurate information about your boat (length, width, draft), intended arrival and departure, the number of guests on board and any additional requirements. Incorrect information may result in the Marina refusing access, relocating your boat or charging additional fees.
Prices, taxes and fees
Prices displayed on BerthScanner are set by the Marina and shown in the currency indicated. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, prices include all applicable taxes. Specific amenities, long-stay discounts, harbour dues or local tourist taxes may be displayed separately.
- Service fee: BerthScanner may charge a transparent service fee disclosed at checkout.
- Per-meter pricing: some Marinas price berths based on boat length or dimensions; the final amount is calculated from the information you provide.
- Amenities: additional services (electricity, water, laundry, concierge, etc.) are priced separately, either per stay or per day, as indicated.
- Currency conversion: where your card is in a different currency, your bank may apply its own exchange rates and fees.
Payments
BerthScanner processes payments on behalf of Marinas through its payment service provider, Viva Wallet. By submitting payment information, you authorise BerthScanner (or its partners) to charge the amount shown at checkout, including any optional amenities you selected.
Payment instruments are subject to verification by your bank or card issuer. If a charge is declined or later disputed, we may cancel the associated booking and recover any amounts due, including refund processing fees and chargeback costs.
Where required by the Marina, additional amounts may be charged at or after check-in for overstay, damages, missing equipment, unpaid amenities or services not included in the original booking. The Marina is solely responsible for such charges.
Cancellations, changes and no-shows
Each booking is subject to the cancellation policy displayed before you pay. Common policies include “flexible”, “standard” and “strict”, each with different refund windows.
- Changes: you may request changes through your dashboard subject to availability and Marina approval. Price differences may apply.
- Cancellations: refunds are issued according to the applicable policy. Processing times depend on your bank, typically 5–10 business days.
- No-shows: failure to arrive on the booked date without cancellation generally results in the forfeiture of the booking amount.
- Force majeure: in case of events beyond reasonable control (severe weather, port closures, strikes, emergencies), we and the Marina will work together to rebook, credit or refund in accordance with applicable law.
